JP PAT Testing

All Portable Appliance Testing will be carried out in accordance with IET Code of practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. The portable appliance testing will be carried out by a qualified, fully competent individual which ensues correct testing on all appliances provided.

All clients shall ensure that any critical information or data has been protected / backed up prior to the start of inspection and testing. IT equipment will need to be shut down by each individual user at the site, this will not be done by JP PAT Testing. JP PAT Testing will not take responsibility for the start-up of appliances after testing has been completed. JP PAT Testing will not be made liable for items that have been correctly tested but are found to have a fault during testing or after.

JP PAT Testing provides Insurance cover for public liability. No liability is accepted for business interruption, loss of data or business information, losses to business related services or loss to business profits. JP PAT Testing accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage to appliances that are found to be faulty before or after pat testing. JP PAT Testing assumes the client understands the nature of the tests conducted on the appliances and the inspection and testing is carried out solely at the client’s own risk.

Appliances can only be tested if JP PAT Testing have easy access to its plug. If the plug is inaccessible, then the appliances will not be tested. All doors/entrances must be unlocked to gain access to test appliances.

Our initial fee at JP PAT Testing is £50.00 which includes up to 15 appliances, any additional items tested will be charged at £1.20. Day rate Monday – Friday £350, Saturday – £425, Sunday – £500. Leakage testing of microwave ovens £5, Plug changes £1.50, Socket checks £1 & Replacement IEC & Fig 8 leads – £10. These prices are subject to location, date and availability.

Once payment is received, you will receive a certificate and log via email. The ownership of test results remains the property of JP PAT Testing until invoice is paid in full. Payment is due within 14 days from date of invoice. If clients have longer payment structures, please discuss with JP PAT Testing so this can then be added to your account.  All invoices will be sent to a valid e-mail address provided by the client. JP PAT Testing accepts payments by BACS or cash.

Please be aware that if you need to cancel or re-arrange the appointment then we require 48 hours’ notice. If an appointment is cancelled within less than the 48 hours’ notice a cancellation fee of £50.00 will be applied. If the appointment is cancelled on the day or at the site of testing a charge of £100.00 will be charged.

AGREEMENT WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you book an appointment with JP PAT Testing it shall mean that:
A. You agree with the price and details of the quote that you received.
B. You agree to these terms and conditions. If the quote and booking was carried out verbally over the phone, usually applying to last minute jobs carried out the same day, then these terms and conditions will also apply.
